Ganesh

Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, the patron of arts and sciences and the deva of intellect and wisdom. The creation of this artwork marked a turning point in my life, when I found myself wandering through the wilderness of northern California with no sense or certainty as to where I would end up, or where my life was going. Ganesh introduced himself to me through this painting, and remains a dear friend to me, reminding me not to panic, use my intelligence, and work through the many obstacles presented in my life.
